It'll be my last trip for a bit, but certainly not the last adventure. There's much, much more on the way to cap 2023 and begin 2024. I'm grateful for the memories and opportunity to #travel. 💕

01: all the mountains here are plateau mountains, meaning they're flat on top 🌋
02: winter gear lewks 🧊
03: road to #Longyearbyen 🛣️
04 and 05: a husky cafe are you kidding me 😻
06: mail letters to Santa 🎅🏻 (for the local kiddos)
07: art inside the local church ⛪
08: polar bear crossing take two 🐻‍❄
09 and 10: by far today's highlight, a visit to see the Global Seed Vault, where the seeds from 120+ countries are stored 400 meters underground in permafrost in case humanity ceases to exist 🌱

Tomorrow I begin the two-day trek back home. This has been an amazing trip. I wanna come back in summer for the #MidnightSun. ☀️

Today I'm in #Svalbard, deep within the Arctic Circle and only 400 miles from the North Pole. 🩵❄️ This is the farthest north I've ever been—and what a journey.

It's totally dark. I won't see a sunrise during my time here. Population around 2,000 and in the northernmost city on Earth, technically a part of #Norway.

Polar bears are wild here. And we passed the Seed Vault—the one that preserves all of humanity's plants—on the way to the hotel. What a fascinating place. 🐻‍❄🧊🇳🇴

Can we talk about this chic, swanky lobby at @clarioncollectionsavoy? So modern and fun! The rooms are cute and cozy, too. And the location is phenomenal - right in Oslo's city center! 🇳🇴🌆🌕

I paid 12,000 @choicehotels points per night, transferred at a 2:1 ratio from Citi ThankYou points. That's 6,000 points per night - a total steal. And ThankYou points are incredibly easy to earn. 🤲🧿

The room was totally free. Hotels in Scandinavia can be notoriously expensive - but they don't have to be. This stay has gotten me more curious about @choicehotels points. 🕵🏻️‍♂️
